Portrait of a Marriage

The day finally arrived which saw us receive a very special delivery @ Dumfries Museum. The first in our items and artefacts that will take pride of place in the first phase of our exhibition on Dr Flora Murray.

On loan from the Royal Free Hospital are these exquisite portraits of Flora and Louisa. These portraits used to hang in their home in Penn, Buckinghamshire, and are now kept safely at the Royal Free, under instruction that they are never to be separated. How beautiful is that?

Simply Stunning! I found myself quite in awe of them. They hold phenomenal presence. I cannot urge you enough o visit them.
