Proud!

Our awareness raising on the remarkable life of Dr Flora Murray has led her to becoming one of the cover girls’ on this years’ Dumfries Pride Guide. With 3 of our events marking the Centenary of her passing featuring in this year’s programme. Plus our Queer Dumfries: A Walking Tour which features Flora, so I guess that makes 4 profile raising events we’re delivering to honour her. Really makes my heart sore seeing her in this context. Truly aligning our Past, Present, Future worlds and challenging those preconceptions - We Have Always Been Here, and always will be!

Couldn’t be prouder seeing her adorn the cover, taking her rightful place, pride of place in our local cultural life and bringing our queer heritage to the fore in our local communities.
